ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires a three-week (21 day) notice for resignation of employment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Substantial direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities, subordinate supervisors, and staff responsible for supervision of the Individual Residential Alternative Program report to the Residential Home Coordinator.

Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Skills - To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies: Sound decision making and judgment, interpersonal skills, planning/organizing, strategic thinking, time management and delegating. The ability to work independently in multiple settings. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply ideas of basic algebra and geometry.
Computer Skills - Must be knowledgeable about Internet software, Microsoft Office components including Word, Office, Excel and PowerPoint. Becomes knowledgeable and trained in the use of Therap for plan writing, event reporting and ongoing communication.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations - Must possess a valid NYS driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Successful completion of behavior intervention techniques, CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration Certification, and all other required training.
Mental Requirements - Able to analyze and resolve routine human resource issues of moderate scope using independent judgment. Ability to prioritize work and keep detailed, accurate, confidential information. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Independent Judgement Required - Requires discretion and independent judgment in the interpretation of approved policies and methods in relation to personnel on a day-to-day basis for all employees with long- and short-term implications and actively involved with administration in making recommendations for personnel policies and procedures.
Interpersonal skills Required - Very high degree of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public, including tact to handle sensitive matters. Must be able to deal with personnel matters in a confidential, objective, professional manner.

The rate of pay for this position is an annual salary of $62,000.
