ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Operations and Compliance
· Oversee the daily operation of an OPWDD-certified Day Habilitation program in accordance with 14 NYCRR Part 635 regulations, agency policies, and best practices.
· Ensure services are delivered in alignment with each individual's plan, habilitation goals, and valued activities.
· Promote person-centered supports, community integration, skill development, and meaningful engagement.
· Ensure the protection of each individual's health, safety, dignity, rights, and personal preferences.
· Maintain accurate program documentation including attendance, habilitation notes, data collection, and progress toward goals.
· Ensure documentation entered in Therap or other agency systems meets regulatory and billing standards.
· Monitor service delivery to ensure services provided meet OPWDD billing and service documentation requirements.
· Provide day to day service delivery as needed.
Program Quality and Improvement
· Conduct routine review of documentation, program activities, and staff practices to ensure quality service delivery.
· Identify opportunities for program improvement and implement strategies that enhance individual outcomes and community participation.
· Participate in agency quality assurance initiatives, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Staff Supervision and Development
· Supervise Team Leaders, DSP's and other assigned staff.
· Recruit, interview, train, and evaluate staff in accordance with agency policies.
· Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff to support professional development.
· Ensure staff maintain required certifications and training including AMAP, STAMP, SCIP-R, CPR/First Aid, and other required training.
· Monitor staff schedules, attendance, and coverage to ensure adequate staffing levels.
· Approve staff requests for time off and complete weekly reviews and approvals of timesheets.
· Monitor transportation routes and schedules.
· Review staff documentation regularly to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with billing and regulatory requirements.
Individual Support and Coordination
· Collaborate with Care Managers, IPC's, House Managers, clinicians, families, and other service providers to support coordinated service delivery.
· Participate in Life Plan meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings when appropriate.
· Ensure individualized activity schedules and habilitation support plan goals and personal interests.
Incident Management and Safety
· Ensure reportable incidents and notable occurrences are reported, documented, and addressed in accordance with OPWDD incident reporting requirements.
· Implement safety procedures including fire drills, emergency protocols, and health/safety monitoring.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and accessible environment for individuals and staff.
Community Integration
· Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and recreational resources to support meaningful inclusion.
· Support individuals in accessing community-based opportunities that promote independence and skill development.
Administrative and Operational Duties
· Maintain communication with the Director of Adult Day Services regarding program operations, staffing issues, and individual concerns.
· Assist with program budgeting, supply management, and operational planning.
· Ensure program equipment, supplies, and vehicles are maintained in safe working conditions.
Other Duties
· Participate in agency meetings, training, and professional development activities.
· Perform other duties as assigned to support agency operations and the needs of individuals served.
· This position requires a three-week notice of resignation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide direct supervision to Team Leaders, DSP's and other assigned staff.
· Schedule staff assignments and daily program activities.
· Provide training and guidance to staff on implementation of habilitation plans and behavioral support strategies.
· Monitor staff documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
· Conduct performance evaluations and provide corrective coaching when necessary.
· Promote a positive team environment that supports collaboration, communication, and accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in human services, Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, or a related field preferred. Associate's degree and/or relevant experience may be considered. Minimum 1-2 years' experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

The rate of pay for this position is $47,008 annually, based on $22.60/hour.
