Main View Coordinator
SUMMARY
The Site Coordinator - Center for Self-Expression is responsible for the daily operation, supervision, quality oversight, and regulatory compliance of the Center for Self-Expression (CSE), an OPWDD-certified Day Habilitation program, and its affiliated community art spaces, Main View Gallery and Pottery & More. The Site Coordinator ensures person-centered services are delivered in accordance with OPWDD regulations, agency policies, individual plans, and the mission of The Arc Otsego. In addition to Day Habilitation operations, the position provides leadership for the effective operation, development, promotion, and community presence of Main View Gallery and Pottery & More, including arts programming, retail and studio operations, marketing, events, artist relationships, and business development activities.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Operations and Regulatory Compliance
·Oversee the daily operation of an OPWDD-certified Day Habilitation program in accordance with 14 NYCRR Part 635, applicable regulations, agency policies, and best practices.
·Ensure services are delivered in alignment with each individual's Life Plan, habilitation goals, valued outcomes, personal interests, and preferences.
·Promote person-centered supports, creative expression, community integration, independence, skill development, and meaningful engagement.
·Ensure the protection of each individual's health, safety, dignity, rights, and personal preferences.
·Provide day-to-day service delivery and direct program support as needed to maintain safe and effective operations.
·Support the enrollment of individuals for the Center for Self-Expression Day Habilitation program in conjunction with the person's Interdisciplinary Team members.
·Participate in the Life Plan meetings and work in partnership with he Individual Program Coordinator to ensure person-centered supports are implemented.
Documentation, Billing, and Program Quality
·Maintain and monitor accurate program documentation, including attendance, habilitation notes, data collection, and progress toward goals.
·Ensure documentation entered in Therap or other agency systems meets regulatory, audit, and billing standards.
·Monitor service delivery to ensure services meet OPWDD billing and service documentation requirements.
·Conduct routine reviews of documentation, program activities, and staff practices to ensure quality service delivery.
·Identify opportunities for program improvement and implement strategies or corrective action that enhance individual outcomes, creative opportunities, and community participation.
·Participate in agency quality assurance initiatives, audits, program reviews, and regulatory surveys.
·Ensure regulatory requirements are met, Quality Assurance programs are implemented timely, and identified concerns are communicated to supervisors.
Staff Supervision and Development
·Supervise DSPs, instructors, and other assigned staff.
·Recruit, interview, select, orient, train, evaluate, and coach staff in accordance with agency policies.
·Provide mentoring, professional development, performance feedback, and corrective coaching as necessary.
·Monitor staff schedules, attendance, and coverage to ensure adequate staffing levels and adherence to the approved budget.
·Approve staff requests for time off and complete reviews and approvals of timesheets.
·Ensure staff maintain required certifications and training, including AMAP, STAMP, SCIP-R, CPR/First Aid, and other required training.
·Review staff documentation regularly to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with billing and regulatory requirements.
·Schedule staff assignments and daily program activities, and promote collaboration, communication, and accountability.
Individual Support and Interdisciplinary Coordination
·Collaborate with Care Managers, Individual Program Coordinators, House Managers, clinicians, families, and other service providers to support coordinated service delivery.
·Participate in Life Plan meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings when appropriate.
·Ensure individualized activity schedules and programming support for habilitation goals, personal interests, artistic development, and community inclusion.
Incident Management and Safety
·Ensure reportable incidents and notable occurrences are identified, reported, documented, and addressed in accordance with OPWDD incident reporting requirements and agency policy.
·Implement safety procedures, including fire drills, emergency protocols, and ongoing health and safety monitoring.
·Maintain a safe, clean, accessible, functional, inviting, and stimulating environment for individuals, staff, visitors, and the community.
Transportation and Operational Administration
·Monitor transportation routes, schedules, and individual transportation needs.
·Maintain communication with Adult Day Services and agency leadership regarding program operations, staffing, individual concerns, and significant issues affecting CSE or its affiliated art spaces.
·Manage day-to-day operational planning and support budget oversight across CSE and its affiliated art spaces.
·Ensure program vehicles and transportation-related equipment are maintained in safe working condition.
·Implement and maintain oversight of agency and participant finances in accordance with policy.
Art Space Operations, Marketing, and Business Development
·Monitor supplies, inventory, equipment, and facility needs across CSE, Main View Gallery, and Pottery & More and coordinate purchasing, maintenance, and site upkeep within approved budgets.
·Maintain appropriate records related to sales, purchases, inventory, promotions, events, and other art-space operations in accordance with agency procedures and applicable requirements.
·Support the development and implementation of operational and business plans for Main View Gallery and Pottery & More, including community collaboration, revenue-generating activities, retail operations, and growth opportunities.
·Work in coordination with designated marketing/event staff to develop and implement marketing, outreach, advertising, and promotional strategies for CSE, Main View Gallery, and Pottery & More.
·Coordinate gallery and storefront presentation, including displays, signage, merchandising, and promotional materials, to effectively communicate programs, events, exhibits, and sales opportunities.
·Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with artists, instructors, vendors, community partners, and other collaborators for classes, gallery shows, retail opportunities, and special events.
·Develop and coordinate arts programming, classes, exhibits, sales opportunities, and special events that support the mission of CSE and expand community participation.
·Oversee the day-to-day operation of Main View Gallery and Pottery & More as public-facing gallery, retail, studio, and community arts spaces, ensuring consistent hours, staffing, presentation, accessibility, and operational readiness.
Community Integration
·Develop and maintain community partnerships that expand opportunities for inclusion, artistic participation, public engagement, and valued social roles.
·Connect individuals with community-based opportunities that support independence, skill development, creative expression, and meaningful participation.
III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct supervision to DSPs, instructors, and other assigned staff, including scheduling, training, performance management, timekeeping oversight, and ensuring staff maintain required qualifications and deliver services in accordance with agency and regulatory expectations.

V. QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
·Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, social work, rehabilitation counseling, special education, fine arts, arts administration, business, marketing, or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience that meets the requirements and needs of the program may be considered.
·Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
·Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
·Experience with arts programming, gallery or retail operations, marketing, event coordination, or community partnerships preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
Valid New York State driver's license and acceptable driving record. Successful completion of agency-required SCIP-R, CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration Certification, and all other required training.

The salary for this exempt position starts at $63,000 annually.
