The Vocational Specialist works with individuals who have a goal of paid employment in the community but need further training and community exposure first. The Vocational Specialist will assist individuals on their caseload with preparing for competitive employment by providing career exploration, job readiness training, situational and vocational assessments, travel training, stress management, social skill development, interpersonal skill building, job related discovery and career/vocational planning. This position will primarily work with participants enrolled in Pathway to Employment or Community Based Prevocational Services.
Home Managers are responsible for day-to-day management of the facilities assigned (including but not limited to, the overall health, safety, development and supervision of staff and residents). Managers will create relationships with individuals supported and develop and/or implement individual service plans using creative and thoughtful techniques. Managers are responsible for working with their assigned team to ensure that the requirements of the plan are met and maintained. A house manager will be able to work independently supervising all functions of the residential home (supervision of individuals supported and staff). You will maintain group home facilities and perform administrative duties, transport individuals, and perform other duties as assigned.
Volunteers will assist with non–direct care tasks that support individuals with disabilities and the programs that serve them. This is an as-needed, irregular opportunity, with volunteer support provided during special events, projects, or other occasions. Duties may include helping with activities, organizing materials, providing administrative or event support, and contributing to a welcoming and inclusive environment. While this role does not involve direct care, volunteers play an important part in ensuring programs run smoothly and that participants have a positive and meaningful experience.
This direct care position is responsible for overall service delivery, development and monitoring of the program plan and training of the people responsible for implementation of the program plan. These responsibilities are required to ensure consistent service delivery.

Assists individuals with daily living activities, Day Habilitation, Vocational Training and other Program Activities, implements program plans, maintains a safe, secure, and clean environment, accurately and thoroughly completes all required documentation and completes other duties as assigned. Serve as a role model to people living in the residence, participating in program(s) and to other employees.
The Residential Registered Nurse is responsible for providing general nursing care to assigned individuals and in conjunction with the Physician identifying, treating, or referring medical concerns to appropriate medical service providers.

Deliver quality services by encouraging and facilitating the development of each individual in reaching his/her maximum potential while guaranteeing the safety, health, and wellbeing of all individuals. Specifically, assists individuals with daily living activities; implements program plans, maintains a secure environment and accurately completes all required documentation. Also serve as a role model to people receiving services. The Rate of Pay for this position is $15.50 per hour.

The Assistant Home Manager provides day-to-day support to the Home Manager to ensure successful operations within the home. The Assistant Home Manager will be responsible for the daily operations, supervision and guidance to staff working in the home in coordination with and in the absence of the Home Manager. The Assistant Home Manager will be on the master schedule providing direct services as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a portion of their weekly schedule during the work week. In addition, will ensure that there is adequate protection of each person’s health, dignity, safety, comfort, well-being, and civil, human, and legal rights, and that each person’s preferences are considered.
The Self-Direction Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. This position is part of New York State’s Self-Direction program, where the person receiving services hires, trains, and directly supervises the DSP. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills, community engagement, and supporting personal goals. Services are tailored to the individual’s preferences, empowering them to live a self-determined life. While employed through The Arc Otsego as the Fiscal Intermediary, the DSP is accountable to the individual for day-to-day direction and feedback.
