Director of Health Services

We are seeking a qualified Director of Health Services to be responsible for the management of the nursing services department and for the direction and supervision of Registered Nurses and nursing services staff, up to six people. Responsible for the quality of care for all individuals receiving services, including 24-hour care settings. Develops, directs the implementation, and ensures compliance of the standards of nursing care.


Provide direct support services to individuals with developmental disabilities living in their home environment. Deliver quality services by encouraging and facilitating the development of each individual in reaching his/her maximum potential while guaranteeing the safety, health, and wellbeing of all individuals. Specifically, assists individuals with daily living activities; implements program plans, maintains a secure environment and accurately completes all required documentation. Also serve as a role model to people receiving services. The Rate of Pay for this position is $15.50 per hour.

Assistant Home Manager

The Assistant Home Manager provides day-to-day support to the Home Manager to ensure successful operations within the home. The Assistant Home Manager will be responsible for the daily operations, supervision and guidance to staff working in the home in coordination with and in the absence of the Home Manager. The Assistant Home Manager will be on the master schedule providing direct services as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a portion of their weekly schedule during the work week. The Self-Direction Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. This position is part of New York State’s Self-Direction program, where the person receiving services hires, trains, and directly supervises the DSP. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills, community engagement, and supporting personal goals. Services are tailored to the individual’s preferences, empowering them to live a self-determined life. While employed through The Arc Otsego as the Fiscal Intermediary, the DSP is accountable to the individual for day-to-day direction and feedback. This role is ideal for compassionate, flexible professionals who value respect, autonomy, and meaningful support.
