SUMMARY
This top-level position is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all aspects of the Agency's Information Technology and Information Security programs. The role includes overseeing infrastructure development, vendor management, IT compliance, risk mitigation, and team leadership. This position provides a critical leadership function within The Agency's administrative team.

III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the IT department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; managing discipline and resolving conflicts in accordance with agency policies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field. Must have demonstrated supervisory and management experience. A minimum of 7 years in information technology leadership is required, including experience in healthcare IT, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. Prior experience achieving HITRUST, or equivalent certifications is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations. Capable of drafting clear and concise policies, business correspondence, and reports. Skilled in presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong analytical skills required for budget forecasting, data evaluation, and interpreting statistical reports.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, analyze data, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions in complex environments.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient with enterprise IT systems, cloud-based platforms, electronic health records, cybersecurity software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with data governance tools, project management systems, and ITIL practices preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) strongly preferred. Must possess a valid NYS driver's license.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
